TAC CITES 2 COURAGEOUS WATCHMEN
In nearby Malabon City, Bgy. San Agustin chairman and national shooting champion Nathaniel “Tac” Padilla commends his two watchmen who ‘courageously’ collared a 40-year old man who’s been known for maintaining a drug den.
Henry Opena, of 57 Sacristia St., has been charged for violation of the provisions of R.A. 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
“For courageously catching this man, I am so pleased by the efforts of our local peacekeepers and they deserve to be cited for a job well done,” says the doubly-elated Chairman Tac.
Barangay Executive Officer Chime Padilla, the village chief’s nephew, says Opena was arrested by ‘Tanod’ Glen Golondrina and Ernesto Orquiza, Jr. recently after a concerned citizen informed them about the on-going pot session inside the suspect’s house.
Wasting no time, the duo while under the supervision of the younger Padilla swooped down on the suspect’s house where they said to have caught Opena and four minors, aged between 13 to 16-years old, red-handed while sniffing shabu.
Recovered from the arrested suspect were several pieces of plastic sachet of suspected shabu and drug user’s paraphernalia, according to the San Agustin ‘Ex-O.’
‘Chime’ says the anti-drug operation was also in response to the orders of the elder Padilla to implement pre-emptive measures on possible crimes brought about by the illegal drugs.
The national shooting champion says the four arrested minors have immediately been turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development Office for proper disposition.
“Lawless elements have no place in Malabon especially in Bgy. San Agustin,” declared Chairman Tac. GOOD RIDDANCE/ARLIE CALALO
