I personally witnessed a few of the campaign sorties by PDP-LABAN presidential front runner Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte in Metro Manila.
My uttered words are amazing attendance of people dressed normally and naturally unlike other party campaigns dressed like uniforms in yellow, blue and white.
I also talked with some people who attended Mayor Duterte’s campaign who responded almost with the same reason/s: “Siya ang pag-asa namin sa tunay na pagbabago…”, “Si Mayor ang susugpo ng kriminalidad sa bansa…”, “Matapang siya na lider, patay ang mga bulok na politiko…”, at “Tatapusin niya ang korapsyon!”
What is more astonishing is that we saw flocks of celebrities who volunteered without talent fees compared to other party invited celebrities who endorsed them with huge amount of talent fees.
We see big business people, known politicians beside the Davao City Mayor endorsing him to the fullest.
The dirty attacks versus Duterte are venomous coming from all sides of his political opponents but the people are simply shrugging the allegations as it helps the feisty mayor than getting drowned.
Should I say, those attacking are Duterte’s best campaigners! In few days, we will know who will be elected as the new President of the Republic of the Philippines.
If we will follow the trend, the attendance in Duterte campaign sorties nationwide, we see a majority vote and it will be the first time in our multi-party system that we see a majority president.
Indeed, the trend is shocking to his opponents. Even in social media, we see overwhelming support to the man from Davao City.
If on May 9, without disturbance and the power of cheating, who can beat Mayor Duterte?
These, I see the support, rather votes for KA DIGONG are protest votes.
Sawa na kasi ang taumbayan sa mga “propesyunal na politiko.” Sawa na ang mamamayan sa matatamis na pangako ng mga tradisyunal na politiko na ang mga pangako ay nanatiling pangako, napako!
Isama ang pagyayabang ng rehimeng Aquino na wala raw makalalagpas sa kanilang mga nagawa sa bansa at sambayanan pero tanong ng mga tao, nasaan ang kanilang ginawa sa programa nila na “MATUWID NA DAAN?”
This regime has destroyed every corner of the nation and the minds of the people. They may claim every success but only in their dreams.
Nothing concrete program has been delivered but all talks. Much more, corruption is at its worse.
