WHILE I admire foreign organizations here in our country who are helping our poor people, especially the victims of calamities, there are some foreign organizations who are pushing their own agenda, politically I may say, like the human rights groups.
Your concern to us being Filipinos are appreciated. The help that you exerted are very much treasured and cherished. We will never forget your help, almost 80 nations giving your shares and donations to the victims of Cyclone Hainan or Yolanda. You are wonderful people. Heroes of your nation.
But wait, there are foreign organizations here in our land that sow political intrigues than genuine concern for human services. Like the Human Rights International and the United Nations’ agents pretending to help every Filipino who are victims of human rights abuses.
Lately, right after our national elections won by incoming PRESIDENT, Davao City Mayor RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, this REPORTERS WITHOUT BORDERS have issued a call to our local media groups to boycott President RODY’s press conferences.
They called our President callous, abusive, Spartan and disgusting because of his catcalling and tough words against criminals and media.
Their basis was from the first of the last 2 press conferences where PRESIDENT DUTERTE was asked a question by a lady reporter from a giant television network.
Mayor DIGONG whistled and jokingly sang, under exasperation of his own, due to repeated irrelevant questions. Another asked the President on his position on media killings but went too far. And Duterte responded that not only politicians are corrupt but also many mediamen causing them to get killed.
The next day, RAPPLER e-news bloated their headline DUTERTE ENDORSES MEDIA KILLINGS? Spoiled brat news reporting. Check it out in the GMA Livestream or You Tube and prove to your self, was there an endorsement to kill corrupt media? NONE guys.
The next morning, Reporters Without Borders media group issued their statement and calling all LOCAL MEDIA to boycott President DUTERTE’s press conferences? Bullshit, you foreign media. We are not onion-skinned people and yes, we are not your PUPPETS!
As of this writing, hundreds of thousands are partying in Davao City for their Thanksgiving after Duterte’s win. Our theme is “ONE LOVE, ONE NATION”. Do you understand that borderless reporters?
What is sad now, our local media are now like strangers and stranded in that safe City of Davao. They were not allowed to put up their cameras on the stage unlike before your stupid boycott call. Fuck your group, Reporters Without Boarders. You are dividing us! BALETODO/ED VERZOLA
