INSTEAD of criticizing PNoy, he must deserve praises for not hesitating to sign into law a bill which was principally authored by his predecessor, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who is now a reelected Pampanga representative despite her being under hospital arrest for plunder charge.
But of course one can’t blame those who always show disapproval in all things he does for reason that they don’t like the President who for sure doesn’t like them either, that’s why.
Going back to the Arroyo law, the Republic Act 10586 which will become the ‘enemy’ of drivers or motorists who are driving while under the influence of liquor or dangerous drugs, the President simply sees its importance to the interest of the general public.
It doesn’t matter who authors it this time, she happens to be the woman he wants incarcerated for life over alleged numerous wrongdoings when she was in power.
And since it’s not the first time, according to his regular mouthpiece, Abigaill Valte, that he didn’t have such formal ceremony in some bills he signs into law, why don’t we give it a benefit of the doubt.
What’s significant here is that there’s now a law that’ll go after hard-headed drivers or motorists who drive while drunk or drugged.
This writer is in the belief that politics is not involved here and will others be in the samoole shoes?
Otherwise, they’re directly affected by the new law.
Well, they’ve got to sacrifice because it’s a law meant to protect the interest of the majority, if not all, of the people.
Better don’t drive when you drink or don’t drink when you drive.
In the long run, it’ll be good for all of us. Believe me.
Free School Bags and Writing Kits for Malabon
THE youthful mayor of Malabon City, Antolin “Lenlen” Oreta, is just making through with his vows the first time he gave out free school bags and writing kits to thousands of grade schoolers.
He’s doing it again in time for the ‘Balik Eskwela Program” as students start to troop to their respective schools though some especially from those in the poor sector couldn’t afford to complete their school needs for obvious reason.
They’ve got to be thankful because they’ve a public servant in the name of Mayor Lenlen who’s been unselfish as he personally sees to it that those in need get what they truly deserve.
May your tribe multiply Mayor Lenlen.
