At the same day, NPD and other concerned authorities primarily the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group stormed a Caloocan area where they bagged three men said to be members of the notorious “Tala Group” involved in car theft, robbery, selling of illegal drugs, kidnap-for-ransom and gun-for-hire.
With the Valenzuela City government led by Mayor Rex Gatchalian and police chief Sr. Supt. Rhoderick Armamento, Gen. Miano led his men in discovering an apartment cum shabu laboratory in Bgy. Rincon where they caught six Chinese nationals red-handed while manufacturing the illegal drugs through the use of ‘hi-tech’ equipment.
Had they not been found, the Chinese chemists could have made volumes as they said to be making about 15 to 20 kilos of shabu a day. Whew! Congrats Mayor Rex, Col. Armamento and Gen. Miano for a job well done! GOOD RIDDANCE/ARLIE CALALO
